Ktunaxa Word of the Week: kyanuqⱡumna

Admin

kiʔsuk kyukyit ka aⱡa! Every week, our Aboriginal Head Start Coordinator Kayla teaches us a new word in the Ktunaxa language.

This week’s word of the week is kyanuqⱡumna (g ya nook thoom na), which is the word for rabbit or hare.

When we hop around at Little Badgers, we can pretend to be kyanuqⱡumna.

To hear how kyanuqⱡumna is pronounced, visit First Voices.
